3 Tips to Rebranding your Blog

NEW YEAR, NEW SITE

Hey friends! It has been a minute, a lot of minutes, like 9 months since my last blog post. But why?!

So my last post was in April of 2019 about my Car magically turning pink! (well getting it wrapped) and since then, I have wanted to update my website. I tried to do it by myself, look up how to code WordPress, look up tutorials, I did it all. until I just didn’t have time to do it and stopped trying.

I would have rather not posted at all than posted on a so-so blog/website that wasn’t fun to look at. So I just didn’t post any blogs. I looked up many graphic designers, website builders, etc. but what was so hard was finding a website designer that knew how to design a blog for an influencer.

In September, I saw a website that Anna Vatuone had made for a close influencer friend of mine, and I was set. I knew I wanted to invest in her and invest in my brand, so we got started in September. My launch date was supposed to be October 30th, but as some of you may or may not know, October was the hardest month of my life. At the beginning of October, my brother (my best friend) unexpectedly died at the age of 23 in his sleep from a tear in his heart. And less than a month later my Granddad (my father figure) also passed away after a long, hard battle with cancer. So needless to say, my website was put on the back burner. But enough of the sad stuff, Anna was incredible. She was so understanding, pushed all of the deadlines, was extremely patient with me and now, after 5+ months of designing this website, IT IS DONE AND LIVE!

I wanted to share with you my top 3 tips on re-branding/re-creating your website:

  1. If you’re not experienced in website design, hand it over to someone who is.

It is definitely not worth the time and effort you will be putting in to learning and producing the website only to create something that doesn’t look like a professional did it. It will be a much better investment of time and money to find someone who has experience in creating websites you love and websites you like to look at.

  2. If you hand it off to someone, make sure they know your brand.

Don’t just go searching for the first website designer you can find. Find someone that is recommended or listed at the bottom of a website you love. You don’t want someone to just be taking your money, you want them to understand exactly what you want and exactly what audience you are wanting to attract. (ie. I highly recommend Anna Vatuone for any blog, personal website. She truly understands your brand and cares about the outcome… I mean, do you see all this pink on this site? She nailed it.)

  3. USE SQUARESPACE

Whatever you do, if you are wanting a blog that has a million features and can do virtually everything you want, use SquareSpace. I have tried WIx, WordPress, etc. and I have seen the light of SquareSpace and I am never turning back.

I hope these tips help a little with blogs trying to rebrand or blogs trying to be created. I am so excited to help support you all and help fulfill YOUR needs.
